Bath Essentials
I'm a woman addicted to water. I love drinking, swimming and soaking in it (and am convinced I was a fish in a past life). I much prefer soaking in a hot bath than taking a shower and I've got my bath time routine down.
Firstly, I decide what type of Bath I'll be having:
detoxing, moisturising or bubbly.
This step determines what I'll be adding to the water as it's running. If it's detoxing, I'll go with epsom salts as they draw out toxins from the body inside and out and sooth any aches and pains (you want to sit in a bath with only these salts for a minimum of 20 minutes for any affect).
If I want a more moisturising bath, I'll pop in a few drops of my La Roche-Posay Lipikar Huile Lavant, which always leaves my skin naturally soft and plump (see my review here).
If bubbly is for me, there's no bath bubble to beat the NAKED Coco de Mer Bath Foam (which I can't seem to find online anymore, but the whole NAKED range is a good'un!).

Once I've soaked for a while and I'm starting to feel relaxed and cool as a cucumber, I start with shampooing. For this I've been using the
NAKED Shine Hydrating Shampoo. This was a recommendation from a friend and although I have oily hair and will usually opt for a volumising shampoo over anything hydrating or moisturising, this one seems to get my hair super clean and without damaging or drying out my hair. I'll spend a minute or two properly lathering up and giving my scalp a massage (this promotes hair growth and removed excess dead skin and oils so hair stays fresher longer).
The next step is conditioner. I've been loving the Aussie Miracle Moist conditioner and, like the hydrating shampoo, I find this gives a soft feeling without over moisturising. I was faithful to the Ausome Volume shampoo and conditioner for years but I find this one adds a little more lift and prevents split-ends longer (if you're big on smells, the Aussie range is one of my favourites!).

While I let the conditioner sit in a bun atop my head, I'll move onto my face. I'm using the
La Roche-Posay Lipikar Huile Lavante along with my
Clarasonic Mia 2 for an exfoliation (see my blogpost here) and then follow up the the
REN ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser. This is very calming and soothing, perfect to add moisture back into the skin after the deeper cleanse. This is also a great cleanser if you suffer from dry or acne-prone skin.
After washing the conditioner and cleanser off, I'll scrub my body with
The Body Shop Bath Brush teamed with their
Watermelon and Eucalyptus Shower Gel. This is my favourite scented gel and is organically certified and not tested on animals. If you have more sensitive skin, the ...
