May Birchbox

This months Birchbox was really exciting. I don't look at the spoiler alerts and try to steer clear of any talk about what's inside before I open it because I love surprises. And this month I am especially glad I did. After years of hearing all of the hype surrounding the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish I have understandably been tempted on many occasions to try it out myself (the only thing holding me back was a few claims that it had been ensiting cystic breakouts... something I'd like to steer clear of). It came in my May Birchbox along with a muslin cloth and in a good amount (30ml) to allow me a proper trial. My Liz Earle C&P temptation can finally be put to rest.

The Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil holds the highest price-point (full size) this month and smells like absolute luxury. I adore the smell of juniper (one of the oils in the mix) and I can imagine a Herbal Esenses-esque slow-motion application. It says to use either in the bath or directly onto the body before a shower. Although I'm a sucker for a good bath oil, the latter sounds like it'd linger the scent longer (and I want to smell like this little bottle of heaven for as long as possible).

The Soigné Botanique nail polish came in the most luxe packaging reminiscent of clasic Chanel. As I was opening it I was hoping for a wearable colour as I'm fairly picky when it comes to nail colour. I recieved the coral-orange shade Persimmon and I painted it on immediately. The brush was a good shape for quick application and although I did two coats it wasn't necessary, the colour is incredibly opaque and vibrant. It seems like good quality but the proof is in the chip so stay posted for a review soon.

This month there was a 2-for1 with a mini shampoo and mini conditioner. They claim to protect and diet angle the hair and along with being in a travel-friendly size, this duo sounds perfect for a beachy week(end) trip. These are going straight into my holiday holdall.

Lastly, a miniature Benefit They're Real mascara. I never did jump onto this bandwagon, mainly because mascaras and I don't often see eye to eye, but I am really excited to give it a try, hoping all of the hype is true. It couldn't have come at a more perfect time as mascara is my holy grail product and my favourites are running low. Thanks Birchbox for reading my mind!

Overall I am really impressed and excited about this months box. What did you get in yours? Have you tried any of these products?
