Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm | Review
I wanted an easy way to take my makeup off before cleansing that wouldn't dry out or irritate my skin. A hot cloth cleansing balm seemed like a good idea, but there are so many that I couldn't decide which to devote myself to. Then I saw the Botanics 97% Organic Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm on the
shelves of Boots and at such an affordable price and with a good ingredients list I couldn't leave without it.
I have to say, it feels odd applying such a thick product onto dry, makeup-ed face, but once you push past the slightly strange sensation, the benefits are great. On first application it feels smooth, smells lovely (think a subtle, earthy, fresh scent) and melts makeup away almost instantly. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and nourished without leaving an oily residue. It's great for dry skin as it softens and smooths any flakey patches but also great if you have oilier skin like me. It cleanses off any excess oil without stripping your skin so after cleansing off with the hot cloth, your skin won't want to overproduce more oils. I have tried and tested a few cleansing balms recently and this is by far my favourite. I'll definitely be repurchasing.
