Bright Eyes

We all want to look fresh and flawless ready for the day ahead, but sometimes that extra glass of red or 'five more minutes' turning into an hour allows those dark circles and unsightly bags to creep in. Drinking water, having early nights, and eating fresh produce is, although the ticket to fresher skin, not going to be a quick fix. So, what can we do the morning after when we have minutes before having to look bright eyed and bushy tailed? I have you covered. Quite literally.

Conceal
Using a concealer under your eyes that's one to two shades lighter than your foundation will cover up those circles and help diminish the bags. Use sparingly and only on the areas needed - you don't want to look like you're trying to cover it up... don't blow your cover!

Pale It Out
Go sparingly with the eye makeup. It can be too easy to hide underneath a mountain of shadows, liners, and mascara, but that'll only make your eyes look smaller and more tired. Instead, use a light brown or taupe shade across the lid and a champagne shimmer shade just in the centre. This'll bring a brightness and luminescence to your eyes.

Highlight
We all know that using a highlighter, whether it's under your foundation or as an accent, can bring life to an otherwise grey complexion. Try dabbing it onto the inner corners of the eyes and under the brow bone to give a wide-eyed effect. This is one of my favourite makeup touches that always leaves me feeling and looking fresher.

Open Up
Wearing minimal or no makeup but still want to look lively? Curl those lashes to make your eyes seem bigger and look more open. Whether your lashes are naturally straight or already have curves, adding an extra crimp will make all the difference and is the easiest way to look like you've had a rested night.
