Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Bliss Balls

These bliss balls are the perfect answer if you’re trying to eat healthier snacks, kicking a sugar craving or as an energy bite before a workout (hello, new years resolution!).

They’re packed with protein, natural energy and delicious chocolate peanut butter flavour… they taste just like a Reece’s peanut butter cup! They’re easy to transport so perfect for a work snack at the office, to grab and go if you’ve missed breakfast or as an after-dinner sweet treat.

MAKES: approx. 15

TIME: 5 minute prep, 25 minute refrigerate

TOTAL TIME: 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS

1 cup medjool dates (or other dates soaked overnight to soften)

1 cup oat flour (simply grind oats to make yourself)

1 tbsp peanut butter

1/2 tbsp cacao powder + extra for rolling

1/2 tbsp ground flaxseed (linseed)

METHOD

Add all ingredients to a food mixer - the dough should be damp and mouldable but not too sticky. Add some water (or if you’ve soaked your dates overnight, use the date water) if too dry or crumbly.

Roll the dough in the palm of your hands into bite-size balls and then roll in cacao powder to cover the outside.

Let sit in the fridge for around 25 minutes and keep refrigerated. They’ll keep for up to 1 weeks. They can also be frozen if you’re making them in bulk for meal prepping or a party!
